The talk was provided by Prof. Monique S.J. Simmonds, Deputy Director of Science Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, U.K. This presentation outlines recent efforts at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to assist different organizations in validating their plant material. This talk illustrated how Kew is making use of its botanical collections and the taxonomic expertise to develop authentication methods for food and herb markets.
