The 20th CGCM Meeting, which was held on 20-22 August, 2024 in Hengqin, China. The Meeting is organized by CGCM Macau Chapter this year, with the joint effort of many local institutes and members, Macau University of Science and Technology in particular.
The Meeting aims to foster academic exchanges and research collaborations on various frontiers of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in pursuing the goal of advancing the field of TCM and benefit human kind. A variety of themes were covered during the 3-day meeting, including acupuncture, bioinformatics, clinical investigations, Chinese Medicine resources, natural products, polychemical activities and mechanism studies, regulation and interregional collaborations in academia, government and industry. Interactive panel discussions was the highlights of the program. The meeting was an invaluable opportunity for experts and professionals in the field to exchange new insights and be rewarding to all participants.
Our Centre research staff, Mr. Kwun Tin Chan, was invited to give a talk on ‘Ethnopharmacology of five flowers herbal tea, a popular traditional beverage in Hong Kong and South China’.
