Worldwide Renowned Scientists Gathered in International Conference for DNA Authentication of Herbal Material
Over 120 scientists and personnel from herbal industry and regulatory agencies from 10 countries or areas attended the 2nd International Conference on DNA Technology for Authentication, Quality Control and Conservation of Herbal Material from 2 to 5 December 2018. This was the second international conference organized by the Li Dak Sum Yip Yio Chin R & D Centre for Chinese Medicine (Centre) jointly with Shiu-Ying Hu Herbarium, School of Life Sciences. The event was supported by Department of Health of HKSAR Government and Institute for Control of Chinese Traditional Medicine and Ethnic Medicine of National Institutes for Food and Drug Control from China.
This conference gathered global leaders of the field to discuss the most updated molecular technologies and their applications. The conference has fostered international collaboration and stimulated the research and development in this field.
