A series of intensive training courses for Chinese medicine practitioners, which was co-organized by Li Dak Sum Yip Yio Chin R & D Centre for Chinese Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Pharmacists Association (HKCMPA) was started from August 2017. There are a total of 20 classes in four main areas including Fundamentals of Chinese medicines, Authentication of Chinese medicines, Clinical Pharmacology of Chinese medicines and Management of Chinese medicines. The course curriculum is in line with the needs of Chinese medicine professionals in the industry to complement the different areas of traditional Chinese medicines knowledge. Due to the overwhelming response, all the classes with around 800 seats were full within 24 hours from the start of the promotion. This shows that the course is in line with the need of the Chinese medicines industry.
