Molecular identification techniques have been included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, the Hong Kong Chinese Materia Medica Standards and other Pharmacopoeias in the world. To support the development of Chinese medicine in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and to promote the development of new DNA authentication protocols that are ready-to-use and can be easily adopted by the herbal industry and testing laboratories, the Centre organized the Virtual Forum on Ready-to-use DNA Authentication Protocols for Herbal Material on 6 March, 2021 via ZOOM.
Experts from National Institutes for Food and Drug Control, United States Pharmacopeia, other Institutes for Drug Control in mainland China, Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute of Department of Health, HKSAR, have been invited to give talks and share.
