Our Scientific Officer, Dr. Karen Wu, was invited to give an online guest lecture for Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) undergraduates majoring in Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy on 20 April 2020. The lecture aims at introducing HK Chinese Materia Medica Standards and DNA techniques used in natural and Chinese medicine. The following key topics were covered:

- Species-specific detection – PCR, dipstick, LAMP
- Recent advancements on DNA authentication
- Quantitation of granules
- Next-generation sequencing
