17th Meeting of Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine (CGCM)

8 – 10 August 2018

Prof. Shaw, the Centre Director, was invited to the 17th Meeting of Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine 2017, which was held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) as panel member from 8 to 10 August 2018.

The CGCM is an international consortium which includes more than 157 member institutes and 24 industrial affiliates distributed worldwide. It is a non-political, public and global organization with the aim to globalize and advance the field of Chinese herbal medicine to benefit humankind through joint efforts of academic institutions, industries, and regulatory agencies around the world. The Consortium aims at advancing the field of Chinese herbal medicine to benefit humankind through joint efforts of the academic institutions, industries, and regulatory agencies around the world.

A student, Mr. Gavin Shou, gave an oral presentation on the topic of ‘ Berberine protects C17.2 neural stem cells from oxidative damage and induces neuronal differentiation’.
